Bebo, a popular UK social networking community with 40 million users worldwide introduced their Open Media platform yesterday. It’s essentially a content deal with a host of media companies (such as CBS, MTV Networks, ESPN, BBC and many more) allowing them to freely distribute media while also allowing the Bebo community to embed and share it with other members. The deal also provides the content partners to keep any advertising revenues.
Bebo says its average user ranges from 13 to 24 years old and spends 40 minutes on the site each day they log on.
